Artwork statement:
Captivated by birds since I can remember and dreaming of having a pet parrot one day, I would venture into the local pet shop any chance possible in my tweens to visit the birds. This quickly escalated into bringing a budgie home with me every so often until my childhood bedroom resembled more of an aviary. I made these pieces to encapsulate my childhood dreams and cherished memories and also hope to spark child-like joy in all who encounter them.
