Artwork statement:
Inspired by my first encounter with the Australian Ibis - the day I arrived in Australia as a backpacker, outside Sydney Central Station, I saw what I described down the phone to my sister back in Scotland, as a beautiful white exotic bird that must have escaped from a zoo! Since then I have had a lot of admiration and love for these white beauties. In these pieces I hope to challenge the perceived notion of the so called 'bin chicken' and and inspire fresh perspective of unique elegance.
